Work Hours:
- Hazleton, PA: 08:00 - 17:00
- Groveland, FL: 09:00 - 18:00
Job Responsibilities:
- Load Optimization: Perform daily load optimization using the Transportation Management System (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Planning & Coordination: Manage the overall planning and coordination of transportation services, optimizing efficiency and productivity by utilizing independent judgment and discretion.
- Network & Capacity Planning: Utilize network balance capacity tools to determine truck locations and available customer loads, tailoring planning to meet area needs and maximizing efficiency.
- Operational Understanding: Ensure a clear understanding of the operational market, planning for the acceptance of loads, assigning trucks, and meeting customer service requirements.
- Dispatch & Ownership: Be responsible for the successful dispatch of planned loads and subsequent ownership for assigned areas.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designated department teams to manage customer trailer pools and collaborate with other planning centers to create and execute strategic plans.
- Communication: Communicate any late pickups, deliveries, load changes, cancellations, or reassignments to appropriate team members.
- Safety Compliance: Use independent judgment and discretion to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations and Safety Compliance guidelines, including validating driver hours of service.
- Customer Interaction: Professionally communicate with internal and external customers, providing effective and timely responses.
- Positive Work Atmosphere: Contribute to a positive work environment by facilitating overall efficiency and success of business operations.
- Other Duties: Perform additional managerial and business operations duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- Basic Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the transportation industry is preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate across departments.
- Training Ability: Capable of transferring knowledge and training others.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail with strong computer-based keyboard skills.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English
- Experience: No prior load planning or supply chain experience required. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
