We are seeking highly professional, customer-driven, detail-oriented candidates to join our lending department as a Loan Processor. In this role, you will interface directly with the customer, loan officers, and relevant external parties in order to effectively and efficiently facilitate the movement of loans from application to closing while ensuring compliance with all banking regulations. The Loan Processor is responsible for confirming that all loan information is accurate and complete, and also engages in follow-ups and file maintenance activities including billing, payment verifications, and ensuring that insurance, tax, and other required documentation is kept up to date.
Responsibilities
· Timely preparation of loan documents
· Build and maintain loan files, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete
· Order title work and appraisals
· Gather and organize security documents
· Collect relevant information from the borrower
· Pull credit reports, conduct research, and provide relevant information and details to the loan officer
· Enter desired loan terms and information into core operating system and ensure that payment/billing terms and ticklers are in place
· Maintain accurate records of loan disbursements
· Ensure payments are processed correctly
· Interface with customer over the life of the loan to answer questions and gather updated information
· Prepare required documentation for Freddie Mac, Farmer Mac, USDA
Qualifications
· High school diploma
· 3 years or more of professional experience in banking, finance, or loan servicing
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Effective use of Microsoft Office suite
· Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
· Integrity and confidentiality in the handling of sensitive financial information
· Ability to collaborate and interface effectively with loan officers, supervisors, and peers
· Strong capabilities in customer service; comfortable engaging with and helping customers
· Familiarity with Finastra LaserPro software preferred
