Under the direction of the Loan Operations Supervisor, performs daily functions utilizing the FIS/IBS loan system for data entry, maintenance and payoff processing of the banks consumer, consumer mortgage and commercial loans. Handles all calls to Loan Operations from internal personnel, authorized third parties and occasionally bank customers, related to loan accounts, such as payoff quotes, information research and error resolution requests. Assists in reviewing daily reports for the purpose of identification of adjustments and reconciliation of posting errors to loan accounts and special projects relating to the loan system

Compensation: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience.

This position is located on-site in West Allis, WI.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs loan data entry to enter customer and loan information on the IBS loan system for new and renewal consumer mortgage, consumer non-real estate consumer loans, and commercial loans.
  • Makes adjustments and corrections to loan account records as authorized. Is responsible for verifying proper authorization and accuracy of data input.
  • Reviews exception reports daily and resolves any discrepancies. Reviews Maintenance Crosscheck report to ensure all corrections and maintenance to loan accounts as required.
  • Responds to loan officer and authorized third party requests for loan payoff quotes and prepares written loan payoff letters in accordance with bank policy and procedure.
  • Responds to inquiries from loan officers and other authorized bank personnel, loan customers or successors in interest regarding loan account information. Resolves problems efficiently and refers complex inquiries to Supervisor as needed.
  • Performs Edit of loan account data function daily: verify all new and renewal loans processed by another data entry employee to confirm accuracy.
  • May handle special projects relating to data entry on the loan system for other loan services functions such as monthly customer outreach letters, annual disclosures, report preparation or error resolution.
  • Communicate professionally to loan officers, banks legal counsel, customers regarding loan information on IBS Insight.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • In addition to knowledge normally acquired through a general high school education, work requires technical knowledge, which may be obtained through vocational training or a brief period of intensive on the job training.
  • Requires basic understanding of systems and equipment used in loan department or other financial services, accounting or data entry position. Also requires data processing proficiency at a level normally acquired during one or more years of experience or equivalent.
  • A relatively high level of analytical ability is required in order to integrate and interpret data and find solutions to problems.
  • Work is performed in accordance with specific procedures, but incumbents must set priorities, organize work and make occasional exceptions.
  • A relatively high degree of customer service orientation is needed for this position, including effective oral and written communication skills, sensitivity, judgement, and initiative. Frequently involves contact with loan officers and authorized third parties to obtain confidential information, which is often time sensitive. May also involve direct customer contact.
  • Responsibility for confidential customer information where disclosure could have an adverse effect on the bank.
  • Work requires constant alertness and continuous mental application where accuracy is essential.
