Position Summary

The Loan Support position provides assigned lender(s) with partnership-style support and assistance in all lending, business development, and other assigned or appropriate initiatives and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interview applicants and complete loan applications for consideration by approving authorities.
  • Assist assigned lender(s) in developing relationships, selling products, delivering superior customer service, managing assigned portfolios, minimizing risks, and pursuing all performance goals and objectives.
  • Analyze financial data to forecast borrower success and loan profitability.
  • Know and apply the bank’s underwriting guidelines consistently and in compliance with applicable banking laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Accept and process loan requests promptly, using approved technology to optimum advantage and complying with applicable banking laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Arrange and facilitate the timely and accurate closing of new loans and servicing existing loans.
  • Know the bank’s loan, deposit, and other product and service offerings and effectively explain them to prospects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Two to four years in a lending and/or business development environment or equivalent is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, service, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential data professionally and ethically.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks at once.
  • Dependable and a self-starter.
  • Proficient level of computer competency.
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate information.
