Job Description:\n•\tTitle: Director of Surgical Services\n•\tSubspecialty(s): Management\n•\tStart Date: 04/21/2025 (Must be within 4 weeks)\n•\tSchedule: Full Time\n•\tDuration: 52 weeks or more\n•\tRequested time Off: No more than 5 days of RTO accepted for 13-week Assignment.\n\nPosition Summary:\nLeads and facilitates the provision of excellent, safe, evidence-based, and efficient patient and family-centered care throughout the continuum of care within Surgery and Perioperative Services. Works effectively and collaboratively with other patient care teams and providers at Lake Chelan Health (LCH). Supports and models the vision and mission of LCH.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n•\tEnsures safe patient care in the perioperative arena by articulating, educating, and managing evidence-based patient safety practices completely and consistently.\n•\tManages the business of perioperative services effectively and efficiently, as evidenced by: Demonstrating proficient clinical skills and knowledge based on evidence and best practices.\n•\tParticipating in the development of the annual operating budget and capital budget requests, clearly articulating anticipated needs.\n•\tMonitoring and analyzing budget performance and productivity, making appropriate course corrections when variances arise.\n•\tUnderstanding and complying with labor laws and human resources philosophies, policies, and procedures.\n•\tUnderstanding and implementing processes that support individuals in owning their professional practice.\n•\tDemonstrates personal and professional accountability, as evidenced by: Continuing personal and professional growth and development.\n•\tDemonstrating ethical behavior and clinical practice.\n•\tCollaborating effectively with other LCH teams and services to provide optimal, safe patient care.\n•\tCreates and maintains a healing environment in the perioperative services arena, as evidenced by: Maintaining noise levels at the lowest possible levels.\n•\tKeeping work areas uncluttered and monitoring for cleanliness.\n•\tSupporting the team to focus attention on the patient.\n•\tDemonstrating professionalism, courtesy, compassion, and respect for others, and holding caregivers responsible for the same.\n\nQualifications\n•\tRegistered Nurse, currently licensed in the State of Washington.\n•\tBSN required or agrees to enroll in an accredited program within one year of hire.\n•\tCurrent Healthcare Provider CPR; Current ACLS and PALS certifications or must obtain within 3 months.\n•\tMinimum four years of experience in a peri-operative setting, with a minimum of two years of experience in OR as circulating and/or scrub RN.\n•\tCNOR certification required or must obtain within 12 months.\n•\tMinimum two years of management or supervisory experience preferred.\n•\tExperience in building surgical volumes and/or operating room construction projects highly preferred.\n\nQualifications:\n•\tOne year of chemical dependency experience required. \n•\tMinimum one year of Medical/Surgical experience required. \n•\tCharge nurse experience required with working knowledge of ASAM criteria and addiction medicine. \n•\tMust have a current BLS and Washington or Multi-state license.\n\n\n“We are an equal opportunity employer.
