Nurse Practitioner (Family Nurse Practitioner)

Primary Location: Camden, TN 

Coverage Area: Hardeman County, TN

Schedule & Hours

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday
  • Shift: Day Shift
  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

     

Requirements (Hard Stops)

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
    • Family Nurse Practitioner specialty required
  • Active, unrestricted Tennessee APRN and RN licenses
  • Current Family Nurse Practitioner certification (ANCC or AANP)
  • Valid Tennessee driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation (may require occasional travel to other health department locations)
  • Ability to follow Tennessee Department of Health guidelines and protocols

 Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary care clinical services to uninsured adult patients
  • Provide wellness, preventive, and contraceptive care to eligible individuals
  • Conduct clinical screening, diagnosis, and treatment of communicable diseases, including:
    • Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
    • Hepatitis C
  • Promote disease prevention through:
    • Patient education
    • ACIP‑recommended immunizations
  • Follow all health department guidelines, clinical protocols, and program recommendations
  • Comply with ongoing professional development requirements as directed by the Tennessee Board of Nursing
  • Participate in county‑ and regional‑based initiatives, meetings, and activities as requested by supervisors
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary public health teams to support community health initiatives
  • Support outreach and continuity of care within the assigned coverage area
