Schedule & Hours
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Requirements (Hard Stops)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Family Nurse Practitioner specialty required
- Active, unrestricted Tennessee APRN and RN licenses
- Current Family Nurse Practitioner certification (ANCC or AANP)
- Valid Tennessee driver’s license
- Reliable transportation (may require occasional travel to other health department locations)
- Ability to follow Tennessee Department of Health guidelines and protocols
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver primary care clinical services to uninsured adult patients
- Provide wellness, preventive, and contraceptive care to eligible individuals
- Conduct clinical screening, diagnosis, and treatment of communicable diseases, including:
- Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
- Hepatitis C
- Promote disease prevention through:
- Patient education
- ACIP‑recommended immunizations
- Follow all health department guidelines, clinical protocols, and program recommendations
- Comply with ongoing professional development requirements as directed by the Tennessee Board of Nursing
- Participate in county‑ and regional‑based initiatives, meetings, and activities as requested by supervisors
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary public health teams to support community health initiatives
- Support outreach and continuity of care within the assigned coverage area
