Locum Physician Critical Care Durango Co Apply
Summary: Mercy Regional Medical Center (MRMC) is looking for a locum Critical Care physician for coverage starting March 2025. The shifts are 24 hours with 12 hours onsite with 12 hours of offsite call coverage. The physician will cover 10 bed ICU and must be able to do bronchoscopies. Ongoing stints are 3-4 shifts.

RATE CAPS FOR SUBMISSION:
Malpractice Must be included in rates.
Orientation half the hourly/callback rate, kicks in after 8 hours. Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours
Holiday Must be 1.5x the regular rate. Per holiday hour, no OT
Nightly Call BR00 or below - Per night call to hold the pager, to include 2.5 hours gratis
Holiday Nightly Call - BR00 - "Per night call to hold the pager, to include 2.5 hours gratis
Call Back BR80 or below - Per hour of patient contact hours, after gratis hours are completed, gratis prorate to MSA terms.
Holiday Call Back BR70 - Per holiday hour of patient contact hours, after gratis hours are completed, gratis prorate to MSA terms.Average worked Callback Hours: 0.5 - 1 hour

- March 14 (8a) - 17 (8a)
- Ongoing dates will be needed and are 3-4 day stretches
Details:
- 8a-8p - onsite coverage
- 8p-8a night call coverage
- Setting: Inpatient Trauma Level III
- Duties: The physician will round on the patients in the ICU. The ICU is open so will work with other specialties that can consult if necessary.
- FTE: 0.5
- Required Procedures: Bronchoscopies, some line placements, and intubations.

- Support Staff: RN
- Reason for Coverage: Gap in coverage due to open position.

EMR Required Training:
- Module (learn lessons) Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
- EMR Modules & Onsite training Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Onsite EMR training is required and it is looped into the morning of the providers first day.

- Air Travel: Air travel okay.
- Please detail any anticipated travel exceptions, for example a dietary restriction necessitating specific lodging situations. Travel exception requests will be denied if this information is not part of the provider presentation. Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:
- Census: Patient population, Adult; Number of beds, 10; Admissions, typically 7-8 per day seen, with 1-2 being admissions
- How often are the providers called back in? Called in at night only and usually 1 out of every 2-3 shifts on. When called back the physician would come back to do an admission in the middle of the night or the occasional very critical patient that needs more attention in the
- Provider must be able to perform Bronchoscopies.
Requirement description :
- Board Certification Critical Care - Required
- Board Certified Subspecialty - Pulmonary on top of Critical Care BC - Required
- Active CO license - Required or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission)
- Provider must be able to perform all of the required procedures - Must note - Required
- Active DEA - Required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked.)
- Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date - Required
- Must be available for dates listed in the job description to be considered - Required
- Clean Malpractice/background - Required, candidates who present with a self inquiry NPDB report at time of presentation with be considered with priority.
