Floyd Lee Locums is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Emergency Medicine for a locum tenens job in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Seeking one highly qualified APP (NP or PA) with strong emergency medicine experience to support a busy, high-acuity emergency department. The facility sees approximately 55,000 patients annually, with daily volumes of ~155 patients, including ~30 pediatric cases.
- Shifts per Month: 10–12 (non-consecutive shifts permitted)
- Monthly Commitment: 60–120 hours/month
- Shift Types:
- 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
(All shifts will convert to 12-hour shifts soon due to summer volume increase)
- Avg. Patients per Provider: 1.55–1.7 patients/hour
- Admission Rate: 25%
- Physician Coverage: 42 hours/day
Provider Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of emergency medicine experience (2 years preferred)
- Level 2 trauma center experience or higher preferred
- Prior HCA experience highly preferred (due to strict performance metrics)
- Licensure: Must be fully licensed (location-specific license assumed)
- File: Must be clean for temporary privileges
- Shift Flexibility: Must be able to work all shift types
