We are seeking anexperienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum tenenscoverage in a hospitalist role with ICU responsibilities in Sault Ste. Marie,Michigan. This provider will work night shifts in an open ICU model and must beconfident managing ICU-level patients and procedures.

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off
• Shift Time: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Specific Dates: August 10, August 23–28
• Average Daily Census: 10 patients
• Admissions: 2–4 per night
• Facility Size: 49 licensed beds, including 6 ICU beds
• EMR: Epic 

Procedures (Must BeComfortable Performing):

• Ventilator management & weaning
• Endotracheal intubation/extubation
• Central and arterial line insertion & management
• Chest tube insertion
• Lumbar puncture
• Indirect laryngoscopy intubation
• Tracheostomy care including tube change
• Moderate sedation
• Management of tension pneumothorax
• External pacing and adjustment of pacemakers 

Candidate Requirements:

• Active Michigan license preferred
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Will not consider new grads
