Job Summary:

Provides guidance and supervision for logistics analysts supporting aircraft, weapon systems, training, and/or SE programs supporting PMA-276.

Conducts logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses and provides recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements in support of aircraft, weapon systems, training, or SE programs. Provides recommendations for changes to site support including maintenance planning, phased support, manpower and personnel requirements, initial provisioning and material support, support equipment, training and training devices, technical data Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation, and facilities. Provides recommendations for the development of LCC and TOC Management Plans. Provides recommendations for the review and development of maintenance plans/Logistics Support Analysis (/LSA) records, maintenance tasks and LORA recommendations.

Education and Experience:

  • MA / MS in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Business, Engineering, or Management preferred. A BS / BA in a related field and 4 additional years of work experience may be substituted for the MA / MS degree.
  • 10+ years’ experience (4 additional if no MS / MS) in acquisition related to in-service support of DOD weapons systems; 4+ years providing supervision to a team providing logistics support. Preferred experience with PMA-276 and their supported weapon systems.

Essential Duties:

  • Conducts logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses
  • Provides recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements in support of aircraft, weapon systems, training, or SE programs.
  • Provides recommendations for changes to site support including maintenance planning, phased support, manpower and personnel requirements, initial provisioning and material support, support equipment, training and training devices, technical data Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation, and facilities.
  • Provides recommendations for the development of LCC and TOC Management Plans.
  • Provides recommendations for the review and development of maintenance plans/ Logistics Support Analysis (/LSA) records, maintenance tasks and LORA recommendations.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Experience with weapon system logistics analysis
  • Knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures; demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contract effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial analysis.
  • Knowledgeable of NAVAIR logistics and maintainability programs and processes
  • Ability to write technically
  • Ability to work within a team and solve problems collectively
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of command chain

Salary: The projected salary range for this position is $95,000-$120,000 and is based on experience and contractual requirements. However, this is not a guarantee of salary.
