Logistics Analyst 1 Chillicothe, IL 12+ months Job Description The main function of a logistics planning analyst is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical planning analyst is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc. Job Responsibilities Examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications. Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities. Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures. Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands. Skills Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials. Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Education/Experience High school diploma or GED required. 0-2 years related experience required. Position’s Contributions to Work Group Works directly with multiple Client engineering platforms to coordinate ordering, tracking, shipping, receiving and storage of pre-production and production material used for engine testing and lab support. Typical Task Breakdown Employee will work with one other team member to preform receiving, storing, and shipping of material to engineering customers. Order material from other facilities. Prepare shipping material. Interaction with Team Internally with engineers and technicians and other logistics analysts onsite. Office and warehouse setting. Team Structure Team of two people will work together to manage the ordering, inbound and outbound flow of material for engineering teams. Work Environment Office and warehouse setting. This role they would be out in the shop environment and have a desk/office area. Steel toes required and would need safety glasses on a daily basis when walking to office area. Additional Technical Skills (Required) Basic computer skills. Additional Technical Skills (Desired) Microsoft Excel experience preferred. Client systems knowledge preferred. Soft Skills (Required) Ability to work in a team. Good verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated.
