Logistics Coordinator
Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Salary Range: $17.00-$18.50
The Arc of Palm Beach County is a dynamic, community-based nonprofit serving and advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our dedicated and caring team members provide support that helps over 3,500 children, teens, and adults to live, learn, work, and thrive.
Position Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the pickup and delivery of merchandise from the pickup point to the delivery point. In most cases, a two-person team will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods by using team lifting and or material handling equipment. Attention to detail is required so no damage takes place during this process.

What You’ll Do
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play an important role in transporting goods, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
Delivery & Transportation
- Drive a 26‑ft box truck or other company vehicles safely and professionally
- Maneuver vehicles into loading docks, ramps, and tight spaces without causing damage
- Load and unload merchandise using team lifting, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
- Secure items in the truck with straps and blankets to prevent damage
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any issues immediately
- Keep vehicles clean and follow all safety procedures at all times
- Customer Service & Communication
- Serve as a customer liaison during pickups and deliveries
- Address and resolve customer concerns with professionalism
- Maintain strong communication with:
- Thrift Store Manager
- Transportation Director
- Production Manager
- Facilities Manager
- Senior Director of Operational Logistics
- Warehouse & Facilities Support
- Assist with sorting, loading, and organizing merchandise
- Support facilities tasks such as cleaning, mopping, organizing, minor repairs, patching/painting, etc.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace
- What You Bring
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate mapping apps and basic electronic tools
- Professional, courteous demeanor and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet drug-free workplace standards
- Ability to work effectively with team members, customers, donors, vendors, and community partners
- Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in retail, warehouse, logistics, or related field
- Valid Florida Driver’s License and proof of required auto insurance
- Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on role. You must be able to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Bend, climb, kneel, grasp, push, pull, squat, twist, and walk regularly
- Load/unload items and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Drive to various sites and complete inspections or deliveries
- Work will take place both in a warehouse environment and in company vehicles.
