Job Title Logistics Coordinator (Onsite) Work Location 100 Thermon Dr. San Marcos, Texas Reports To Manager, Order Management Overview The logistics coordinator accurately ships and invoices domestic orders, expedites all documentation upon shipment verification. This is a hands‑on position for an individual capable of executing processes and procedures. The role will report to the Manager, Order Management and you will be based onsite, Monday to Friday, 8 am–5 pm, at our office located at 100 Thermon Dr. San Marcos, Texas. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Coordinates and ships domestic sales orders for internal and external customers. Primary point of contact for customers’ shipping needs; acts as liaison between sales, Thermon affiliates, final customers and internal Thermon departments regarding shipments. Able to follow order management processes and documentation for accurate transactions. Assists and provides guidance to sales managers, sales personnel, affiliates and final customers with shipping processes and procedures, proforma documents, shipping documentation and freight quotes. Checks for errors or changes before preparing all documentation necessary to ship. Contacts freight sales personnel regarding shipments, freight rates and negotiations. Audits freight bills outbound and inbound. Files and follows freight claims. Obtains proofs of delivery. Maintains contact with Thermon’s affiliate offices, customers, freight forwarders and consignees regarding shipping statuses and shipment tracking. Ships and invoices orders in the Axapta order management system. Prepares shipping and invoicing documentation such as invoice, packing list, test reports, certificate of conformance and any other required quality or customer‑required documents. Assists the Order Fulfillment Manager/Order Management Supervisor with additional responsibilities when necessary. Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications An associate or bachelor’s degree in fields such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or Operations Management is preferred. Minimum two years of working experience in an order processing environment. Certifications such as APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, CLTD or CLA/CLT are a plus. Knowledge of international shipping laws and current events that may affect shipping procedures is preferred. Work experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems is required. General Physical Activity Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or coordinating shipments. Standing or walking throughout buildings, warehouses, yards or logistics areas. Bending, reaching, kneeling or crouching occasionally to retrieve documents, inspect inventory or review shipments. Lifting & Handling Ability to lift, carry, push or pull 10–30 pounds regularly. Occasionally lift up to 40–50 pounds, depending on the environment. Manual handling of small freight items or packaging supplies. Warehouse or Dock Exposure (if applicable) Some Logistics Coordinators work partially in warehouse or loading dock environments. Exposure to temperature changes, moderate noise and moving equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Ability to handle barcode scanners, handheld devices or inventory equipment. Visual & Communication Requirements Clear vision for reading documents, labels and freight details. Ability to hear, speak and communicate clearly with drivers, warehouse personnel and vendors, even in noisy environments. Use of headsets or radios. Equipment Use Frequent use of computers, multi‑line phones and label printers. Shipping systems such as FedEx, UPS, ERP/WMS. Steel‑toe shoes, ear and eye protection.
