This leading international group with operations in 150 countries worldwide is looking for a skilled Distribution Engineer to join their main Distribution Centre for EMEA, based in the Limburg region of the Netherlands.Your team’s focus is on delivering support to the daily logistical operations within the EMEA Distribution Centre as well as supporting some of the regional DC’s in Southern Europe and Africa.The role focuses on detecting issues and gaps and providing solutions within the distribution center, with focus area on inbound and outbound logistics process flows.You will look for opportunities to enhance processes through automation, data mining and AI by designing processes, procedures, and layouts for logistical operations such as material handling as well as arranging logistical systems within the distribution center to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.You will also work extensively on designing sequences of operations and specify procedures for different logistical processes as well as identifying corrective actions.You will also provide overall guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specifications to ensure the best possible utilization of systems.In order to apply it is expected that candidates will have strong logistics experience gained within a comparable international environment. Preferably candidates will have some experience with either Labour Management Systems (LMS) or knowledge of the MOST (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique) system, combined with data and artificial intelligence application.For more information please see our video
