Logistics – Executive Director: Operations & Sales
Our client is a growing, privately held 3PL and transportation brokerage company looking for a hands-on Executive Director of Operations & Sales to help lead the next phase of the business.
This is a role for a leader who likes to be close to the action—on the floor with the team, involved in daily execution, and directly shaping how the business scales.
The Role
This position serves as the owner’s right hand, leading day-to-day operations while helping build a more scalable and disciplined growth engine. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys running the business—not just talking about it.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily logistics and transportation operations
- Improve execution consistency, service reliability, and customer experience
- Coach and develop current Operations and Sales leaders and their teams; strengthen accountability and coverage
- Help formalize and scale sales
- Introduce practical structure, metrics, and operating rhythm
- Support adoption of tools and systems (e.g., CRM) that improve visibility and follow-through
Who We’re Looking For
- A proven leader with 10+ years in logistics, transportation, or 3PL environments
- Hands-on operator who leads by example and earns trust quickly
- Customer-focused with strong operational judgment
- Experience working in an entrepreneurial or founder-led business
- Comfortable with ambiguity and building structure where needed
