It is located in the DISA OC/INFRASTRUCTURE DIRECTORATE.Responsibilities: The purpose of this position is to serve as the lead Logistics Management Specialist for the DoD Teleport Program Office. The incumbent will travel 25% of the time in order to conduct and lead program logistical activities at worldwide sites. Serve as a logistics management specialist for a global, enterprise-level network property accountability and IT asset management program. Incumbent is to provide comprehensive logistical planning and material management expertise through all phases of the program life cycle. Plan and conduct studies and analyses to define logistics requirements for new system elements as they are integrated into existing network designs to address operational requirements. Identify potential challenges in logistics strategies and programs, and develop, coordinate, and execute action plans to mitigate these vulnerabilities.Requirements: In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Logistics management such as property accountability, IT Asset Management or logistics strategies and programs. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
