Position Summary:
The Logistics Manager plays a critical role in ensuring remodeling and construction projects run efficiently by overseeing the entire flow of materials, equipment, tools, and vehicle logistics. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Materials Management
- Oversee ordering, receiving, inventory tracking, and distribution of materials and equipment
- Ensure material deliveries align with project timelines and quality standards
- Maintain accurate inventory at the warehouse and job sites
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement
- Project Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate material deliveries and drop-offs in alignment with project schedules
- Optimize daily delivery routes to minimize downtime and maximize job site efficiency
- Quickly resolve on-site delivery issues and adjust plans based on weather or project changes
- Fleet & Equipment Oversight
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment through scheduled maintenance and timely repairs
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and internal safety policies
- Track tool check-in/check-out and prevent losses or misuse
- Process Improvement & Reporting
- Develop and refine logistics procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Analyze logistics KPIs and generate reports to support performance improvement
- Standardize warehouse, delivery, and stocking workflows
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and coach warehouse and logistics team members
- Provide regular training and performance feedback
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company values
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within the construction or home improvement industry
- Strong understanding of construction materials, scheduling, and vendor coordination
- Proficient with logistics and inventory software such as Buildertrend, Sortly, or similar
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience leading warehouse or delivery teams
- Valid driver’s license and DOT certification required
