The company operates its production facility in Lewisport, KY with the support of an Automotive Innovation Center for R&D, sales and field service in Madison Heights (DET), and inside sales in the Cleveland, OH area. Our production facility is seeking to add a talented Logistics Manager to its team. The purpose of this role is to ensure efficient, cost‑effective, and compliant movement of goods and materials, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to meet business objectives and customer requirements. Responsibilities Actively participate in maintaining a zero‑incident safety culture. Live and champion the Commonwealth Rolled Products core values: Safety, Integrity, Customer Focus, Ownership, Excellence, and Teamwork. Develop, implement, and manage transportation policies, procedures, and strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. Coordinate daily transportation activities, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching drivers or carriers. Monitor shipment tracking, delivery schedules, and ensure timely arrivals and departures. Negotiate contracts and rates with freight carriers, logistics companies, and vendors. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations and safety standards. Manage transportation budgets, analyze costs, and identify opportunities for savings. Resolve transportation‑related issues, such as delays, damages, or customer complaints. Supervise, train, and evaluate transportation staff, drivers, and support personnel. Maintain accurate records of shipments and regulatory documentation. Collaborate with supply chain, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations. Assist with the development of standard work instructions and process workflows. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and required experience. 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations with at least 2+ years leading and managing teams. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, fleet management, and industry best practices. Proven ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts. Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and related software. Leadership skills with experience managing teams. Must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Strong decision‑making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross‑functionally.
