This role is not a remote opportunity, it is on-site at our Corporate Headquarters in Elwood, Indiana.What You'll Do:Coordinate inbound and outbound Truckload, Intermodal, and LTL shipments following the routing guide processAssist carriers in scheduling appointments for pickup and deliveryTrack & trace shipments daily to ensure timely pickups & deliveries are being madeProblem-solve unexpected issues during the shipping, in-transit, and delivery processProvide clear and consistent communication with Customer Service, Warehousing, Sales, and other groups throughout the shipping processCoordinate EDI and general load tendering to carriers via TMS systemFacilitate with spot load coverage and load cost negotiationPrepare PayablesMaintain accurate freight purchase order payment recordsReview freight invoices for billing discrepanciesMonitor billing statementsAdministrative SupportInput data into Supply Chain computer systemsPrepare Microsoft Excel reportingCross-train as back up for other roles within the Supply Chain DepartmentRequirements for Success:Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma1 year experience working with the public (customer service, transportation, or warehousing)Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesComputer skills, MS Office, Excel and WordExcellent communication skillsAble to function in a fast pace team environmentGood analytical skillsAbility to work independently once given directionPhysical Requirements & Working ConditionsThe employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time whether that be sitting or standingThe employee must be able to use fingers to constantly operate a computer or other type of office equipmentThe employee in this position must be able to regularly walkThe employees must be able to use hands to handle and feelThe employee must be able to regularly reach with both hands and armsThe employee must be able to visually detect, perceive, or recognize in near and far distancesThe employee must be able to converse or convey with other individualsThe employee may occasionally be required to crouchThe employee may occasionally lift/carry items as heavy as 25 poundsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesDirect: NoneIndirect: NoneBenefits Include:Medical premiums as low as $20.89/weekPaid parental leave time off workEmployer-paid disability benefits401(k) matching up to 7%Free counselling through the Employee Assistance ProgramEmployer-paid life insuranceAnd so much more!
