Position: Logistics Representative
Location: Piney Flats TN 37686
Duration: 6 Months
Job Type: Contract
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: 1st Shift 8:00am-4:30pm (M-F)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The primary responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Perform various tasks for logistics department under close supervision, which may include any of the following:
- Fill, pack, wrap, protect, consolidate, and arrange orders according to instructions
- Safely operate various warehouse equipment in order to assist with moving product
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks
- Ensure shop floor is supplied with required parts and material
- Assist with cycle counts
- Work with various departments to ensure availability of requested parts and materials
- Distribute parts and materials as required.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with regulatory requirements, production standards, and Client Business Conduct guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
Position Requirements:
- 0-2 years of experience related to job duties. Additional experience preferred
Skills/Certifications:
- Basic competence in with computer programs (MS Office programs). Experience with ERP software may be a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic measurements and measuring equipment
- Ability to operate a forklift safely
- Attention to detail
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks
- Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues
- Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed
- Ability to use computer and software related to job duties
