Job Description:

Our client is looking to add a Carrier Operations Representative to their expanding team. This position will be responsible for handling all required volume of inbound and outbound calls as well as other duties that are outlined below. Responsibilities:

Effectively using telephone, email, and other forms of communication to represent our client in a professional manner.

Strategically outreaching to our clients carrier partners to match to their shipments.

Recognizing and on-boarding new qualified carriers

Developing and growing strong carrier relationships

Obtaining and recording shipment booking information from carriers

Booking trucks on loads in a profitable and efficient manner

Learning and executing customer specific procedures

Performing check calls (confirm location and if they will still make it on time (at appt or said ETA) for pick up or delivery) on all shipments between 0600 - 0700 MST and 1400 - 1500 MST.

Supporting customer and carrier facing sales teams while freight is over the road through consistent communication/updates with all parties.

Anticipating and identifying problems and proactively working to solve them.

Facilitating communication with AMs and/or BDRs, carriers, shippers, receivers, and leadership to help resolve issues with a high level of professionalism.

Examining the market capacity resources to determine pricing, capacity, and truck availability.

Scheduling pickup and delivery appointments for all existing/repeat locations and notifying BDR/AM if unable to complete.

Identifying emails from customers as received and notifying AM/BDR, LS lead, and OM of new loads to cover while reaching out of carrier base.

Maintaining load boards (DAT / Truckstop) and making sure posting are accurate by posting, reposting, and taking download postings.

Tracking and tracing shipments to maintain daily contact with drivers to confirm on time arrival to pick up and delivery facilities on loads booked, including after hours and weekends. LS must confirm pick-up and delivery day of pick-up and delivery.

Confirm with available information (email, text, messages) and if can't find reach out in this order: LS Lead, AM/BDR that P/U and delivery numbers, addresses and load instructions with shippers and receivers, correct misinformation before dispatching.

Track driver detention, layover and other incidental pay items and then report Immediately to LS Lead or AM/BDR as applicable.

If you are alerted by the carrier at the 90-minute mark for detention, you must notify Ls Lead and AM/BDR immediately.

Understand and promote companys culture, goals, policies, and procedures.

Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 1-3 years of Carrier Sales experience.

Outbound sales, cold calling, or outbound prospecting experience is a perk.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong ability to multi-task and is process driven.

Desires to work in a motivated, fast-paced, competitive environment.

Experience building carrier relationships.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced and highly competitive sales market.

Friendly, outgoing, and confidence is a must.

Willingness to work in a team environment, but able to conduct themselves and work independently, driven to achieve individual results without being micromanaged.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
