Links Technology is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Logistics Specialist I to join our client’s team in Vandalia, OH. Our client is a leading firm in the aerospace and defense industry. This is a Contract role offering the opportunity to work on critical logistics documentation and support the efficient flow of materials for important projects. Responsibilities of the Logistics Specialist I: Assist with the preparation of logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals for deployment and stocking. Support routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals. Track logistics materials and parts for proper allocation in storage facilities. Learn and apply applicable state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements. Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials. Qualifications of the Logistics Specialist I: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education. A higher level degree may substitute for experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with inventory and supply chain/logistics principles and techniques (preferred). Experience with shipping databases such as FedEx, DHL, or UPS (preferred). Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems (preferred). Ability to operate a forklift (preferred). Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills.
