The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for: overseeing Logistics Specialists daily activities; managing all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, specifically with regards to customer satisfaction; coordinating with Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, and Shipping to stay on top of all account requirements; cultivate positive relationships with carriers, customs authorities, customers, and internal functions; and provide insight into improvement opportunities. This position requires a strong background in logistics with demonstrated accomplishments and solid negotiation skills. Coordinate pick-ups and deliveries (domestic / international), including prepping the necessary paperwork Schedule and manage outside warehousing, including intracompany transfers and associated transportation Manage and onboard vendors to support procurement of storage trailers (customer safety tock program) Partner with leadership regarding logistic strategy development Qualify logistics suppliers, conduct annual RFP, and maintain carrier lists Manage pricing with freight forwarders and customs brokers Controls costs: evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, and select cost-efficient shipment methods Analyze freight charges and prepare reporting Audit and assign general ledger codes to all freight vendor invoices Use judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices Use specialized knowledge to solve higher complexity problems Act as a liaison between customers, freight carriers, operations, and supply chain departments Develop and maintain logistics procedures and task tracking Review internal/customer issues in relation to logistics and act to ensure they are resolved Investigate, evaluate, and settle customer complaints and freight claims Ensure compliance with established logistics policies and procedures Manage Ranpak item list and the appropriate freight class, NMFC, and harmonized codes Ensure that all Ranpak US imports/exports comply with US regulations for valuation Other Duties as assigned Required 4+ years logistics experience, including supervisory role International freight management experience, including customs regulations, tariffs, harmonized codes, etc. Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills Preferred Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related course of study Warehouse and operations functional experience Experience with a manufacturing company that has a global footprint and supply chain Logistics software experience / working knowledge (TMS) EOE STATEMENT We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
