As the Logistics Transportation Operation Director, you will be responsible for driving innovation and continuous improvement within our logistics 3 PL transportation operations. Your primary focus will be identifying and developing new processes and technologies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize performance across our supply chain.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams from different departments, including procurement, manufacturing, and customer service, to ensure alignment and effective execution of projects. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, and leveraging this knowledge to inform and guide your strategy.
To succeed in this role, you should have a deep understanding in the logistics 3PL transportation operations and processes in the home appliance, technology, and electronics device industries, as well as a proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and cost reduction initiatives. You should also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proven experience communicating and working cross-functionally with multiple divisions (customer service, transportation, warehousing, returns, etc.) to align on goals and meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Demonstrated knowledge in managing Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and experience in the design and implementation of new systems to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Ability to generate and present dynamic reporting for key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and continuous performance tracking.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and implement process improvements while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
- Proven experience in managing internal and external systems to support the execution of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, ensuring smooth logistics operations.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining organization and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience working directly with 3PL providers to proactively address and resolve customer complaints, delivery issues, and escalations.
- Strong documentation and data collection skills to support inter-departmental activities and maintain accuracy in records.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions based on cost analysis, service benchmarks, and performance trends to optimize operations and drive strategic initiatives.
- Responsible for preparing and analyzing reports on international and domestic transportation expenses, maintaining cost tracking through web-based reporting, and acting as a subject matter expert for Access database processes.
- Participate in special projects as required by management, focusing on cost studies, efficiency improvements, and logistics innovation.
- Retrieve and analyze data from various sources (Access, Amos data warehouse, etc.) for special projects, management reporting, and process enhancement initiatives.
- Administer monthly cost analysis processes for management review, providing comprehensive insights into transportation costs and trends.
- Provide ad hoc reports, cost studies, and analysis as needed, ensuring accuracy and clarity for decision-making.
- Maintain and update transportation databases to analyze inbound and outbound freight expenses effectively.
- Conduct regular audits of third-party freight payment data to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
- Prepare weekly and monthly summaries of freight costs versus sales, presenting key insights and recommendations for review.
- Collaborate with the freight auditor to identify and recommend potential cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Administer weekly and monthly freight payment reporting processes, including accruals and financial reconciliations.
- Run cost estimate simulations based on sales and purchase projections to assist with long-term business planning and budget forecasting.
- Provide management with detailed cost analysis, transit times, and data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
- Work closely with the Systems Department to enhance internal data processes and implement technological solutions that improve logistics efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the logistics or related field, with a focus on logistics 3PL transportation operations.
- Proven experience in Transportation operation process improvement, innovation, or a similar role processes in the home appliance, technology, and electronics device Top Global Companies preferred
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, 3 PL transportation Operation, warehouse management, and best practices.
- Exceptionally skilled in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
- ERP and WMS understanding and experience is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple complex assignments and projects and successfully driving them to completion within highly aggressive timelines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skill and interpersonal skills in persuasion, negotiation, conflict resolution, problem solving and teamwork
- English/ Korean Bilingual required to communicate with customer
- Ability to work additional hours beyond normal schedule as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.

Your base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows you to progress as you grow and develop within the position. The base pay range for this role is between $140,000 ~ $200,000/year, and your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location.
