Responsibilities Of Civil Engineer Project Manager

  • Oversee transportation engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, designers, and contractors to develop innovative solutions for transportation systems.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, analyze data, and make recommendations for effective and efficient traffic flow.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, cost estimates, and construction plans.
  • Manage project budgets and resources, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Essential Job Functions Of The Civil Engineer Project Manager

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Utilize your expertise in Civil Engineering to create efficient transportation systems that prioritize safety and sustainability.
  • Conduct traffic impact assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, applying them to your projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as government agencies, consultants, and clients to ensure project success.

Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
  • Pennsylvania P.E. license.
  • Eight or more years of experience with transportation and/or traffic engineering projects, specifically in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management and design (AutoCAD, MicroStation, SYNCHRO, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities to address complex engineering challenges.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
