Job Title: Apprentice Commercial Low Voltage Technician

Position Summary

We're looking for a motivated Apprentice Commercial Low Voltage Technician to join our team and grow their career in the cabling and technology infrastructure field. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone with some hands-on experience in cabling, construction, or electrical work - but more importantly, a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.

As an Apprentice, you'll work under the direction of an experienced Lead Technician, assisting with low voltage installations across a variety of commercial projects. You'll gain real-world experience in the installation of structured cabling systems, access control, audio-visual, and other low voltage technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Lead Technician in the installation of structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, etc.) in commercial and data center environments.

  • Help route and secure cabling through pathways, conduit, and ceiling spaces.

  • Perform basic cable pulling, labeling, and termination tasks as directed.

  • Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain an organized work area.

  • Assist in setting up work sites, staging materials, and cleaning up after jobs.

  • Support the Lead with daily tasks on both small-crew and large-team projects.

  • Follow all safety policies and site requirements.

  • Maintain a professional attitude and represent the company positively on job sites.

Qualifications
  • 6+ months of experience in construction, electrical, or low voltage work preferred (willing to train the right candidate).

  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.

  • Ability to take direction and work well as part of a team.

  • Comfortable with physical labor, working on ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Reliable transportation and punctuality required.

  • Basic hand tools a plus (screwdrivers, snips, punchdown, etc.).

  • OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

What We Offer
  • On-the-job training and mentorship from experienced technicians.

  • Opportunity for growth into Lead Technician and beyond.

  • Competitive pay and consistent work.

  • Exposure to diverse commercial and technology integration projects.

Ideal Candidate

This position is perfect for someone who wants to build a career in the low voltage trade - someone dependable, curious, and hands-on who takes pride in doing quality work and learning new skills every day.
