Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed for a full-time school assignment in the Houston, TX area. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 26, 2026, providing approximately 37.5 hours per week over 10-12 weeks. The nurse will support a 1:1 student, focusing on specialized care including tube feeding, suctioning, and oxygen monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical nursing care to a student with complex medical needs in a school setting
  • Monitor and manage tube feedings, suctioning, and oxygen levels as required
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with school staff and healthcare professionals
  • Follow all district protocols and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with the education team to support the students health and learning goals

Qualifications:

  • Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing
  • Experience with pediatric nursing or school health care preferred
  • Ability to manage medical equipment and interventions such as feeding tubes and oxygen therapy
  • Successful completion of district fingerprinting and drug screening processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, families, and school staff

Location:Houston, TX (specific school location will be determined)

Contract Details:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Approximately 10 to 12 weeks in duration
  • Onsite only, no telehealth or remote options
