A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available in a school setting, supporting a kindergarten student with extensive medical needs. This role is vital in providing personalized care and ensuring the students health and safety throughout the school day.

Location: Edison, NJ
Contract Duration: Immediate start through June 23, 2026 (Spring Break from April 310)
Schedule: 5 days per week, 8:25 AM 3:25 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing care to a kindergarten student, including monitoring medical conditions and administering care as needed
• Assist with feeding, ensuring the student chews and swallows food safely
• Monitor vital signs such as temperature and glucose levels regularly
• Manage allergies and respond promptly to any medical issues during the school day
• Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to maintain comprehensive care plans
• Document health observations and interventions accurately

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey LPN licensure and certification required
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
• Ability to perform medical monitoring and assist with feeding procedures competently
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Compassionate and attentive to the needs of children with medical complexities
