Our physicians and staff are committed to providing our patients with exceptional care through personal attention and trusting relationships. Patient satisfaction is our ultimate goal. Depending on experience, the starting pay for this role is between $40-$42/hr.Essential Duties, Tasks and ResponsibilitiesUses equipment effectively by anticipating patient needs and providing appropriate careUses proper techniques and procedures according to accepted standards of practiceAssists with inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the admission areaActively assists the Registered Nurse in support of the total pre-anesthesia care processUsing two patient identifiers, identifies and validates the patient and procedure to be performedWorks collaboratively with the healthcare team to prepare the pre-procedure areaProvides comfort and reassurance to patientParticipates in Site MarkingMaintains patient's privacy and dignityPerforms safe and individualized nursing care throughout the pre-procedure processPerforms Fall Risk AssessmentPerforms DVT AssessmentMonitors patient condition and vital signs and maintains accurate documentationReports any observed abnormalities to the Registered NurseDocuments the physical and emotional status of the patient in preparation of the planned procedureReviews post-procedure instructions with patient and responsible adultDetermines and documents patient and responsible adult understanding of the discharge instructions and indications for seeking emergent careOrganizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel to provide effective and efficient case managementAssists patients attire change (as necessary)Assists with supplies, drugs, and equipment inventories to maintain stock level and availability; maintains order and cleanliness of pre-procedure area(s)Transports patients as needed, observing policies, procedures, and safety requirementsConfirms preoperative testing/medical clearance is in patient's medical chart prior to procedurePrepares equipment/supplies needed for care of patients and for performing diagnostics testsDisplays knowledge of the requirements for instrument, supply, and equipment maintenanceCleans instruments properly after use and observes policy and procedure for proper care and handlingUses equipment safely following manufacturer's instruction for usePerforms other miscellaneous duties as assignedQualificationsGraduate of Accredited School of NursingLPN/LVN with active, unrestricted state licenseOne (1) year of nursing experienceCPR certification and/or ACLS-PALS certification (as required by Center)Strong ethical and moral character referencesBasic computer skillsApply Now!
