Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides fundamental nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. LPNs play a critical role in delivering day-to-day healthcare services, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of patients in a variety of settings such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, clinics, rehabilitation centers, and home health environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct bedside care including bathing, feeding, toileting, dressing, and repositioning patients.

2. Administer oral, topical, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications as prescribed.

3. Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other patient metrics regularly.

4. Recognize and report abnormal findings or changes in a patient’s condition to RNs or physicians.

5. Perform wound care, catheter care, and assist with other nursing procedures within LPN scope.

6. Prepare patients for medical procedures and assist in minor treatments or therapies.

7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in medical records and care logs.

8. Support patient emotional well-being and offer education to families regarding basic care routines.

1. Current and unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.

2. CPR/BLS certification required (from AHA or Red Cross).

3. Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of clinical experience preferred (facility or home health).

4. Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within scope.

5. Excellent communication, time management, and patient interaction skills.

6. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is an advantage.

1. Flexible Scheduling: Choose from day, evening, or night shifts; create your own schedule.

2. Weekly or Same-Day Pay: Get paid quickly for completed assignments.
