M&A Consultant
Summary
A Japanese company is seeking a Bilingual M&A Consultant to join its dynamic team, supporting Japanese businesses in expanding internationally through cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This role offers the opportunity to work in a global environment by managing projects across North America, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The consultant will provide end-to-end financial advisory (FA) services, offering both buy-side and sell-side support. Fluency in Japanese and English is required.
Essential Duties
1. Origination and Business Development
- Propose and promote M&A opportunities introduced by global partners to clients.
- Engage with clients to identify their business needs and respond to inquiries with tailored solutions.
- Manage a pipeline of M&A deals and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
2. M&A Advisory Services
- Assist clients with valuation, negotiation, and project management throughout the M&A process.
- Lead the execution of cross-border transactions from origination to completion, including on-site negotiations.
- Coordinate with international teams to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.
3. Global Collaboration
- Collaborate with multinational team members across offices in Asia and other regions.
- Participate in overseas business trips as needed to support deal execution.
4. Post-M&A Integration (PMI) Support
- Provide comprehensive post-M&A services, including PMI and other business needs.
- Collaborate with departments across the company to deliver one-stop solutions for clients.
- Foster long-term relationships with clients to support their continued growth and business success.
Working Hours, Working style
Monday - Friday; Flexible Hours: 5:00 - 22:00

Salary/Benefit
$150K - 300K DOE

Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in cross-border M&A, advisory, or related fields.
- Fluency in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
- Ability to commute to the office at least three days a week.
- Flexibility to work across time zones to support international projects.
