Required Skill Set

To successfully execute this project, the following skills are essential:

  • Machine Learning Engineers:
    • Strong knowledge of algorithms with the ability to adapt them for optimal performance
    • Extensive experience in ML and data science libraries, including PyTorch, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and LangChain.
    • Proven experience with LLM and transformer models (e.g., BERT, GPT, RoBERTa) and hands-on expertise in finetuning and model evaluation.
    • Manufacturing and Testing Domain Knowledge: Experience applying ML techniques in manufacturing contexts is highly desirable.
    • Strong communication skills to explain complex ML concepts to non-technical team members.

Scope

  1. LLM Finetuning and Evaluation: Finetune the LLM for GCode generation and evaluate model performance using data samples generated by HyperMill CAM software.
  2. Model Selection: Choose the optimal model based on performance metrics (e.g., MSE for deviation) and finalize the number of epochs for best results.
  3. UI Development: Create a UI for user interaction with the LLM pipeline, allowing for data input, GCode generation, and result display. End to End workflow automation.
  4. Automation: Develop scripts for automated data collection and a closed-loop feedback system from data input to CNC machine integration.
  5. Evaluation Pipeline: Implement Python scripts to evaluate GCode outputs using Vericut software, applying metrics for accuracy and consistency across multiple epochs.
