Our technology accelerates process development, transfer, manufacturing, and risk & quality management—already trusted by 8 of the world’s 20 largest pharma companies.About the RoleWe are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer for our teams in Portugal or Italy to support the ongoing development and production integration of our machine learning algorithms.Key responsibilitiesImplementing, deploying, and maintaining data transformation and model training pipelines in our AutoML softwareImproving internally maintained packages, SDKs, and services used by internal and external usersTaking ownership of the full deployment lifecycle, from ideation and research to implementation and stakeholder approvalWorking closely with a multidisciplinary team of software engineers and data scientists to introduce the latest research in digital bioprocessing into software deployed at leading pharmaceutical companies worldwideAssisting in the research and development of novel machine learning models and algorithms for multivariate time-series prediction in biopharmaRequirementsM.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related fieldStrong understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms, in particular the combination of time-series forecasting and differentiable systemsProficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or JuliaStrong experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn, JAX)Experience with backend engineering, ideally using Go and/or RustExcellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsPay range and compensation packageIntegration into a young, dynamic, and interdisciplinary team of computationally driven chemical engineers, biotechnologists, and computer scientists.
