Position Description:
- MLOps Engineer (GCP) ML/AI/Gen-AI Position Overview the client's Customer Service Analytics is looking for an MLOps Engineer to productionize and operate machine learning models on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- This role will build and maintain deployment pipelines, ensure reliability and monitoring of ML services, and help standardize MLOps best practices across teams.
- The engineer should also be able to support ML, AI, and Gen-AI development tasks when needed (experimentation, integration, and evaluation).
Position Responsibilities:
- Productionize ML models on GCP supporting both batch scoring and real-time inference use cases.
- Build and maintain automated ML CI/CD pipelines (testing, packaging, versioning, promotion, rollback).
- Implement end-to-end ML workflows: data preparation ,training, validation, deployment, monitoring.
- Deploy and maintain inference APIs/services and ensure performance, scalability, and uptime.
- Implement observability for ML systems: logging, metrics/alerts, model performance tracking, drift and data-quality checks.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure fundamentals: IAM, secrets, networking, reliability, and cost/performance tuning.
- Collaborate with data/ML stakeholders to operationalize datasets and features (BigQuery/GCS and orchestration as required).
- Support ML/Gen-AI development tasks as required (prompt workflows, RAG patterns, evaluation, and integrations).
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline (Master's preferred).
- 3+ years in software/ML engineering/ MLOps / production ML experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP for production ML (Cloud Run preferred; GKE/Vertex AI also acceptable).
- Proficiency in Python and strong software engineering fundamentals (APIs, testing, Git, code quality).
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD tooling (e.g., Cloud Build/GitHub Actions/Jenkins; Terraform preferred for IaC).
- Experience with GCP data services such as BigQuery and Cloud Storage; familiarity with orchestration (Airflow/Composer) is a plus.
- Proven experience implementing monitoring and operational practices for ML systems (drift, performance, reliability).
Desired Skills:
- Practical Gen-AI experience (Gemini/Vertex AI, embeddings, RAG, prompt engineering).
