Machine Operator Nd Shift Apply
JOB SUMMARY
This position is accountable for ensuring efficient operation in relation to material usage, product waste, and process parameter control to meet production objectives while improving quality, safety, and sanitation performance to maintain continued customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operates, monitors, and documents the supporting equipment to enable efficient and quality production.
- Prepare Packing machines for production and adjust as necessary for Schedule.
- Pre-stage rolls of film on skid for production run and put away at end of shift.
- Lift Film Rolls (up to 60 lbs.) on to packing machine
- Lift Formers (up to 50 lbs.) on and off machine at shoulder height
- Use printers to place appropriate codes and prices on bags, labels and cases
- Select correct scale and bagger programs for scales for scheduled SKU’s
- Program, troubleshoot, and make adjustments on scale and bagmaker to ensure consistent feed for good bags weights and efficiencies.
- Routinely check bag weights, code dates, prices, proper seal of packaging and bag integrity.
- Responsible to carry out daily assignments following all established department SOPs.
- Operate overhead shaker conveyor system to ensure product delivery to correct machines.
- Ensure and oversees shift compliance with safety procedures and programs.
- Responsible for the end of day cleaning and sanitation of the production areas and supporting equipment assigned on SSOP's, food safety, and following Good Manufacturing Practices protocols.
- Responsible to assist in training new operators.
- Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment at all times.
- Completes all manufacturing paperwork, record and scan seasoning usage,
- Manage data entry in Redzone in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned that will impact and support the overall outcome of the company and department objectives.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Should have working knowledge of computer skills
- Ability to do repetitive tasks, detail oriented, understanding of the food industry and safety standards.
- Knowledge of Lockout Tagout
- Teamwork and communication skills required
- Critical thinking skills accompanied with a sense of urgency is a must
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell.
- Able to lift/move up to 80 lbs.
- Specific vision includes the following: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts; loud work environment

Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two to four years related experience and training preferred.
