Job Title: Machine Operator I -Assembly Location: Madison, GA What We’re Looking For We are seeking a Machine Operator I-Assembly who will load and follow setup instructions for cutting machines and other tools. The candidate will fabricate various types of products and components, meeting defined production schedules, and perform basic operator preventative maintenance. Responsibilities include operating machinery and tools necessary to complete assembly and parts fabrication to specifications using forklifts, pallet jacks, saws, drills, tape measures, hand tools, and more. What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role Basic Mechanical Skills Fabricate wood crates for products and make changes to existing products per engineering documents and established production standards. Use hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools as required. Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides to fabricate parts and assemblies. Arrange parts for fabrication and staging processes. Maintain acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping. Review finished assemblies to ensure accuracy against drawings. Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required. Diagnose process and quality issues, and make improvement recommendations to the department supervisor. Report defective machines, parts, and materials according to policy. Ensure safe, careful use, treatment, and maintenance of tools and equipment. Participate in and attend cross‑functional meetings as required. Participate in cross‑training program—train and be trained. Perform a variety of assembly or production duties with minimal supervision.
