Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are a manufacturer and distributor of plastics that support the postal, waste, and medical industries. We are looking for eight machine operators to run equipment that makes plastic bags or film.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to produce plastic bags or film
• Manage the operation of blowing film equipment
• Learn and perform basic troubleshooting on the machines
• Shut down machines when necessary
• Handle plastic film for mailing purposes
• Produce colostomy bags
• Train on forklift operations (no prior experience needed)

Essential Skills

• Experience in machine operation
• Ability to handle and operate machinery safely
• Basic troubleshooting skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with forklifts
• Knowledge of mechanical production
• Material handling and assembly skills
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Experience in general labor, machine operating, packaging, and production
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and CNC press brakes

Work Environment

Work in a clean manufacturing environment, but be aware that it can get hotter inside, especially on the third floor, due to machinery running indoors. Shifts include 6AM-6PM (2 on 2 off 3 on 2 off) and 6PM-6AM (2 on 2 off 3 on 2 off).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $47840.00/yr.

$1500 sign on bonus, $500 referral bonus, $100 safety reimbursement, $200 safety glasses reimbursement, great culture, catered meals, medical, dental and vision benefits. Annual profit sharing bonus.
