Position Overview:

The Repro Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of equipment used to recycle scrap into finished products. This role involves collaboration with team members to ensure the continuous operation of production lines and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scrap Management: Identify and segregate different types of scrap for recycling.
• Machine Operation: Adjust machine settings such as heat controls and extruder settings to ensure optimal performance.
• Feeding Operations: Assist in loading rolls onto unwind stands and ensure the feeder is supplied with sufficient scrap.
• Screen Maintenance: Perform screen changes correctly and efficiently when required.
• Product Labeling: Label finished products accurately and place them in designated storage areas.
• Work Area Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized.

General Duties:

• Report to work on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to perform duties.
• Ensure that the work area is safe and clean, and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Follow all instructions from the production manager and foreman.
• Ensure the quality of the finished product meets company standards.
• Document scrap and production details accurately.
• Maintain an adequate supply of product for the grinder feeder.
• Be prepared to operate the line independently as needed.
• Run other lines or perform tasks in other plant areas as assigned.
• Follow the packer job description if tasked with packing duties.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, and be capable of bending, stretching, squatting, and climbing stairs.
• Provide assistance to fellow employees to foster a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and physically handle tasks required in the production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Must be reliable and capable of maintaining a consistent work schedule.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production setting is preferred.
