Job Title: Machine OperatorJob Description

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain, and operate machinery. You will ensure the efficient and continuous running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and pays close attention to detail and safety standards. This role offers on-the-job training to help you improve your skills. The goal is to ensure smooth production procedures that maximize efficiency and profits. Training will begin on the 1st shift for 2-4 months, transitioning to the 2nd shift. For the right candidate, a fast-tracked transition may be arranged.

Responsibilities
  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
  • Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
  • Test operation of machines periodically.
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
  • Maintain activity logs.
Essential Skills
  • 6 months+ experience with punch press or CNC machines.
  • Proven experience as a machine operator.
  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.).
  • Understanding of production procedures.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and strength.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with punch press, press brake, and expander machine.
  • Proficiency in using blueprints, tape measures, and hand/power tools.
  • Skills in machine setup, inspection, and operation of CNC and sheet metal machines.

The pay range for this position is $23.92 - $23.92/hr.
