An established manufacturing company in Rancho Santa Margarita is seeking a Shop Assistant. The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable working around and with machinery, have good dexterity, GREAT attitude and willing to do just about any task assigned in the shop and administrative areas. The starting pay is $22 to $24/hour, based on experience and the hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30AM to 4PM.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Retrieve daily assignments via use of Shop Floor software or as assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform light maintenance on machinery.
- Receive and distribute incoming deliveries from UPS and FedEx.
- From time to time, the supervisor may assign duties not specific to the Manufacturing department.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Mechanical ability.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not mandatory.
- High school graduate or equivalent education.
- Able to communicate in English; able to comprehend written and verbal instructions and numerical values.
- Detail oriented, organized and able to work efficiently to meet daily production deadlines.
- Able to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Combination of standing, sitting and extensive use of hands.
