Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy technician role is available in Clearwater, FL for an immediate 13-week contract assignment. Ideal candidates will bring strong retail pharmacy experience alongside certified skills, contributing to a fast-paced, team-driven environment focused on accuracy and excellent service.
Responsibilities:
- Process and fill prescriptions accurately; manage insurance adjudications and resolve claims rejections
- Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification with attention to detail
- Perform data entry, manage prescription documentation, and effectively communicate with patients and prescribers
- Maintain inventory through cycle counts, restocking, and expiration monitoring
- Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction processes
- Cross-train across pharmacy functions to support departmental needs
- Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; confirm highest education level during screening
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification highly preferred, FL pharmacy tech license in good standing required
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience with a focus on retail settings; call center experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort handling phone communications
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills to thrive in dynamic workflows
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
