Mainframe Developer Apply
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Mainframe Developer / Support Engineer with a strong background in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IBM Mainframe Utilities, preferably in automotive or manufacturing environments. The role involves developing and supporting enterprise applications that power critical automotive functions such as supply chain, production control, parts management, dealer operations, and vehicle warranty systems.
Key Responsibilities:-
Design, develop, and maintain mainframe-based applications supporting automotive business processes.

Analyze, debug, and resolve issues in COBOL and JCL programs across multiple environments (Dev, QA, Prod).

Work closely with business and functional teams to implement enhancements and process automation.

Support batch processing, data migrations, and integration between mainframe and modern systems.

Perform DB2 query optimization and data validation for high-volume automotive transaction data.

Manage incident, problem, and change management through ITSM tools, ensuring system uptime and SLA adherence.

Participate in automotive system rollouts, global deployments, and version upgrades.

Document system flows, impact analysis, and release notes for ongoing and future changes.

Hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IBM Mainframe Utilities (IDCAMS, IEBCOPY, SORT, etc.).

Experience supporting or developing systems in the automotive or manufacturing domain (PLM, ERP, Logistics, Warranty, or Dealer Management Systems).

Familiarity with mainframe integration to distributed or cloud environments (via MQ, APIs, or middleware).

Strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes Incident, Change, and Problem Management.

Exposure to Agile or DevOps environments.

Strong analytical and debugging skills with ability to handle high-pressure production issues.

Experience with CICS, IMS, or VSAM.

Understanding of automotive business workflows like BOM, VIN, PDM, or supplier portals.

Exposure to mainframe modernization or hybrid cloud migration projects in automotive IT.

Knowledge of tools like ServiceNow, Control-M, Endevor, or CA-7.

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
