Position Information Position Type: Full time Type of Hire: Experienced (relevant combo of work and education) Location: Columbus, GA office – candidates must currently live locally and will work a hybrid model of up to 3 days in office. Visa: At this time we are unable to offer visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship. Job Description On a day‑to‑day basis you will work with an agile scrum team to design and deliver new products or capabilities in an iterative, continuous fashion. Responsibilities Collaborate within an agile scrum team including ScrumMaster, Product Owner, business analyst, test analysts, developers and client counterparts. Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, screen mock‑ups, flow diagrams, and other artifacts outlining the solution to be implemented. Assist in gathering and verifying non‑functional requirements, review architectures and designs, ensure adherence to standards, and develop strategies for validating that target requirements are addressed. Actively participate in all agile scrum ceremonies. Maintain project and system documentation. Advocate for the development team’s priorities, challenge scope creep, and negotiate timelines with the product owner. Participate in all phases of the software‑development life cycle utilizing Agile Scrum methodology. Design, create, and deliver program specifications for code development and support on multiple projects/issues with a wide understanding of the application/database to better align interactions and technologies. Provide broad knowledge of analysis, modification, and development of complex code/unit testing to develop concise application documentation. Advise leadership on design, development, and enforcement of business/infrastructure application standards with associated controls, procedures, and monitoring to ensure compliance and accuracy of data. Perform and advise on testing, validation requirements, corrective measures for complex code deficiencies, and provide systemic proposals. Skills & Competencies Strong collaboration within cross‑functional teams. Analytical thinking with ability to organize thoughts and recommend approaches. Creative thinker comfortable pushing standard industry practices. Self‑starter looking for responsibility and impact. Innovative mindset to improve processes. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and associated project artifacts (user stories, acceptance criteria). Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. Relevant experience or degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field. Typically 0‑2+ years of relevant experience. Four‑year college degree with 0‑2+ years professional experience, or high school diploma with 2‑4+ years professional experience in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data. Preferred Qualifications Typically 0‑2+ years of relevant experience. Experience with IBM Rational Tools. Experience with COBOL, IMS, & DB2 (highly preferred); Java (desired).
