Maintenance & Reliability ManagerPhillipsburg, NJ$140,000 - $150,000 + 10% performance bonusWe are looking for a Maintenance & Reliability Manager to lead and support the team in driving operational excellence and ensuring the optimal performance of all plant equipment. This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency, safety, and compliance of our facility, covering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.As a member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT), you will contribute to the site's strategic direction, growth, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also oversee the operations and maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality execution of all maintenance activities.What We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience in maintenance or equipment repair—ideally within manufacturing or chemical industriesProven experience managing unionized teams and administering Collective Bargaining AgreementsDeep understanding of industry and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, PSM, cGMP, EPA, DEA, DOT)Technical & Leadership Skills:Skilled in Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement practicesExperience using maintenance management systemsStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficient in troubleshooting and problem-solvingFamiliar with chemical manufacturing environments and support systemsKey Responsibilities:Lead maintenance operations across manufacturing, utilities, distribution, and wastewater systemsDefine and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive reliability and performance improvementsDevelop and enforce preventive maintenance programs and best practicesSupport Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance in alignment with OSHA standardsManage maintenance contracts—scoping, bidding, and overseeing timely, high-quality workEnsure all work aligns with OSHA, EPA, DHS, and FDA safety and regulatory standardsMaintain training and certifications for maintenance staff and contractorsControl maintenance budget and monitor expenses effectivelyIdentify and manage critical spare parts inventoryAssist with capital project planning, installation, and commissioningOversee and optimize the site's maintenance management system, leveraging data to drive long-term asset performanceLead labor relations and ensure adherence to collective agreementsCollaborate cross-functionally on projects and initiativesThis is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, safety-oriented leader to make a lasting impact at a growing site.
