Maintenance Engineers (1 x Mechanical and 1 xElectrical) Oxfordshire | Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Days) + On-Call RotaWe are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team at a modern research and production facility in Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically or electrically biased technician who enjoys working in a varied environment supporting critical building services, laboratory facilities, and production equipment.The RoleAs part of a multi-skilled maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of site equipment and facilities. Working with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of engineering assets.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across building, plant, and equipment.Maintain key site services and utilities, including:Air Handling Units (AHUs)Extract fans and motorsElectrical LV systems and lightingWater systems, pumps, boilers, and calorifiersLaboratory fume cupboards and pipeworkVacuum and pressurisation systemsPerform fault finding, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs.Support and liaise with external contractors maintaining specialist systems such as:Gas boilersCompressed air systemsUPS and LV switchgearBMS and fire alarm systemsGenerators and laboratory gas systemsHVAC, chillers and LEV systemsParticipate in routine site checks and safety activities, including weekly fire alarm testing.Join the on-call rota (approximately 1 week in 4) and occasional out-of-hours support.About YouWe’re looking for a proactive technician who enjoys problem solving and working within a collaborative engineering team.Essential:Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in a facilities, manufacturing, utilities, chemical, or laboratory environmentMechanical or Electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent NVQ Level 2/3 experience)Strong fault finding and maintenance skillsBasic computer literacy and ability to work with maintenance systemsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable:Experience working within pharmaceutical, GMP, or life sciences environmentsKnowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)Exposure to energy efficiency initiatives or ATEX environmentsWhat’s on OfferFull-time 40-hour week, Monday–Friday (days)On-call rota approximately 1 in 4 weeksModern site facilities including on-site restaurantFree parkingExcellent public transport links, including shuttle service to Didcot Train StationOpportunity to work in a high-tech research and production environment
