Our client is a well-known regional bakery with multiple retail stores throughout New York metro area. Due to growth, seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join and eventually lead the maintenance staff at the main plant/HQ. Primary duties include:- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on food production and packaging equipment.- Assist with building maintenance and grounds keeping- Ensure work spaces are safe in accordance with GMP, OSHA and SOP's- Provide equipment and maintenance status to management as requiredPosition reports to Maintenance Manager.Ideal candidates for Maintenance Engineer in New York will possess the following:- Associates degree in electro-technology or similar, military (technical) training, and/or vocational/trade schooling- 5+ years experience in a food production environment- Understanding of LEAN 5S, GMP and OSHASalary range is $60-100k/yr (depending on experience).
