Maintenance Manager$125,000 - $150,00Carlstadt, NJPosition Summary:You will oversee all aspects of plant maintenance, ensuring equipment and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with engineering best practices. In this role, you will lead the Maintenance Department, drive continuous improvement, and ensure minimal downtime through effective preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.Key Responsibilities:Manage the maintenance of all production equipment, plant facilities, and transportation assets.Develop and lead a qualified maintenance team; provide training and performance management.Plan and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce unscheduled downtime.Oversee plant building maintenance, repairs, and cleanliness standards.Recommend equipment modifications or replacements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Maintain an effective spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies system.Develop and manage the department’s annual budget; monitor and report on financial performance.Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards.Collaborate with Operations and QA to align maintenance activities with production and quality goals.Utilize CMMS to track work orders, equipment history, and maintenance KPIs (e.g., PM compliance, asset utilization).Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and reduce waste.Support plant expansions and improvement projects.Enforce the safety program; monitor safety records and ensure technician compliance.Ensure timely and effective communication across departments and within the maintenance team.Participate in hiring, employee development, and disciplinary actions as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.8–10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food industry environment.5+ years in a maintenance leadership role.Strong knowledge of process, packaging, and service equipment.Proven organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS software.Knowledge of equipment manuals and federal/state/local regulations.If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding position at a growing manufacturing company, then apply below.
