Our Managers are responsible for all the areas of the shop facility including working in a team environment. The shop maintains the Old Dominion fleet by inspecting, repairing, and replacing parts on heavy equipment including forklifts. Working knowledge of basic welding and DOT compliance required. This position requires decision making skills, along with great time management. Follow all company procedures and supervisors' instructions along with administrative duties when required. This position will act as liaison for the Regional Maintenance Manager, Director of Maintenance, and Vice-President when deemed necessary.Responsibilities:Continually research new technology relating to the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty vehiclesSchedule and assign workManage manpower to ensure peak workload times are coveredAudit work ordersActively monitors work habits and strive to increase productivityAssist with development and monitoring of paperless environment, include Bar CodingMaintain a high level of housekeepingRecommend and actively train all employees with the goal of improving their knowledgeMaintain a high level of customer satisfactionWork closely with the parts manager and shop supervisor to ensure a timely repair of equipmentProvide information, advice and direction to all employees in their area of responsibilityWork closely with warranty administratorAssist with formation of shop budget and management of the sameRecruiting and retention of shop employeesQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.Management/Supervision experience preferred.Compensation Range:$67,457-$84,321Working Days:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, FridayWorking Shift:AMWork Days and Shift are estimates and are subject to change, at any given time, based on job scheduling and/or business levels.
