Description Position Title: Maintenance Manager Reporting To: Head of Production The department falls under the supervision of: Chief Executive Officer Job Overview Maintenance Manager (MM) are responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspection and repairs at all facilities. The MM will scope and quote projects and present proposals for approval by the Head of Production. The MMs will also assist with facility and production set up. Responsibilities And Duties Repair facilities and equipment. Identify and repair greenhouse equipment including but not limited to environmental control, irrigation, ventilation, unit heater, and boiler equipment. Identify and repair warehouse equipment including but not limited to building structure malfunctions, overhead garage doors, restrooms and break areas. Identify, design, and install new structures and equipment, as needed. Preventative maintenance. Maintain and complete tasks on maintenance calendar. Identify and complete preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities, as needed. Ensure that calendars are complete and up to date and the work is being performed on time and to Clesen quality standards. Keep complete records of all work upon completion. Maintain safety equipment in accordance with state and regulatory laws. Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety protocols, alerting a Manager or Team Leader of any broken or dangerous issues. Proactively identify and rectify any safety concerns. Contractor quotes. Define scope with authorized staff to describe desired work. Identify appropriate contractors for scope of project. Request quotes and meet contractors as needed prior to and during scheduled repair and or maintenance work. Maintain a current list of approved contractors. Bid, coordinate, and schedule seasonal landscaping and snowplow contracts for all facilities and rental properties. Maintain company vehicles including but not limited to company commercial trucks and vans, passenger cars, forklift, and skid-steer equipment. Coordinate with outside vendors to quote, maintain, and repair passenger vehicles. Keep detailed records of services rendered per vehicle, completed by Clesen and outside vendors. Repair offices and rental properties. Identify, maintain, and repair office supplies, office lighting, HVAC systems, and safety equipment. Inspect, maintain and repair rental properties. Facility setup. Complete production tasks, as needed. Operations set up of irrigation lines. Building and breakdown of carts, canopies, and growing spaces. Assist in other duties by supporting greenhouse operations and Transportation when requested. Working at other company sites, as needed. Support any ad hoc operational projects, as requested. Qualifications Flexible to work in all locations and areas, lead and guide others when needed, and be a regular and active hands on worker each day. Small motor, low voltage electrical, HVAC, vehicle maintenance experience preferred. Drivers license required upon hire. English language proficiency and strong communications skills needed to understand and convey directions, follow instructions, understand reports and procedures, attend meetings and trainings, and to elevate pertinent information to supervisor. Experience working in manufacturing or greenhouse environment preferred. Demonstrated ability to be accurate and effective in tracking, data entry, and following procedures. Demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment helping others, creating a cohesive work unit, and contributing to a positive work atmosphere. Dependable and reliable work record including reporting to work on time consistently and following directions accurately without reminding. Can communicate effectively in writing via email and by creating procedures and policies for others to follow. High School education or equivalent experience preferred.
