In this role, you will have direct impact on the reliability and performance of our Hitchcock, TX facility—ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and at peak performance.**WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:*** Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.* Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure efficient performance of equipment and facilities.* Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing mentorship, training, and support.* Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues or potential problems.* Manage the maintenance budget, including procurement of spare parts and maintenance supplies.* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.* Collaborate with other departments to support production and operational goals.* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs.* Implement and lead a preventive maintenance program to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce the risk of breakdowns.* Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.## YOU HAVE:* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field, preferred.* Experience as a Maintenance leader or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.* Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems and standard methodologies.* Excellent leadership and team management skills.* Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.* Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.**Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands:*** Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.* This role involves pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling and crawling.**WE HAVE:*** A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day + nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
